WASILLA -- A 19-year-old man is accused of assaulting two people with a tire iron at a Wasilla home.

Alaska State Troopers say Jayson Featherstone of Wasilla is under arrest on assault charges in connection with the Sunday evening attack of a male and a female. Troopers say the male was taken to a local hospital, where he was treated for injuries and released.

According to troopers, Featherstone left the scene of the assault before officers arrived. He was arrested after a traffic stop two hours later.

He is being held on $10,000 bail at the Mat-Su Pretrial Facility.
