JUNEAU -- Juneau is cracking down on litterbugs.
The Juneau Empire says several portable, battery-powered trail cameras have been purchased and were installed last month at various dump sites to catch litterbugs in the act.
Officials say at least six people have been caught and ticketed so far.
George Schaaf, the city's Park and Landscape Superintendent, says the most recent catch was two weeks ago when a blue Chevy flare side pickup dumped a load of tires in front of a shipping container on Montana Creek, right in front of one of the trail cameras.
Police issued a citation for up to $200.
