A small airplane with disabled landing gear made an emergency landing at Merrill Field on Thursday, according to the Anchorage Fire Department.
Firefighters rushed to the airport east of downtown, but the Piper PA-32 Lance landed safely, fire department spokesman Al Tamagni said. None of the seven people on board were injured, he said.
Tamagni did not know if the plane belonged to a commercial carrier or private pilot. Immediate details of the landing or damage to the aircraft were unavailable.
