Wasilla man drowns in Willow Creek, troopers say

A Wasilla man drowned in Willow Creek Saturday, the Alaska State Troopers said. According to a trooper report. Joshua Pool, 28, of Wasilla lost his footing and was swept down Willow Creek Saturday evening.

Pool was "unable to self-rescue" and drowned, troopers said in a statement.

Mat-Su Water Rescue recovered the man's body.

No other details on the incident were immediately available Sunday.
