JUNEAU -- Sen. Lisa Murkowski is inviting Skagway residents to share their experiences and concerns with that community's post office.
This follows a trip Murkowski made to the community, during which she said she heard complaints about the post office's operations.
Murkowski detailed complaints she'd heard in a letter this week to the U.S. postmaster general. Complaints included a lack of staff, mail stacking up for weeks in the back of the post office and up to five days without any mail delivery in town.
Her office announced Tuesday that she'd created an email address to which Skagway residents could send their thoughts about how the post office runs. That address is Skagway@Murkowski.Senate.Gov.
Her office says the comments will be shared with the U.S. Postal Service as Murkowski works to resolve any issues.
