An Eek man is charged with attempted murder after a stabbing in the Southwest Alaska village on Tuesday, according to Alaska State Troopers.
Twenty-year-old Eek resident Frank P. Pleasant plunged a knife into a 22-year-old man multiple times Tuesday, troopers said. A village public safety officer reported the incident about 3 a.m. Tuesday and troopers arrived about 11 a.m.
The alleged victim was flown to Bethel for medical treatment. He was seriously injured but his life did not appear to be in danger, troopers said.
Pleasant is charged with attempted murder, a felony. He was also taken to Bethel, where he was jailed and held without bail.
