Assembly must not trade away beautiful parkland and trail

Published: June 8, 2012

I attended the West Anchorage District Plan public hearing ("Assembly puts off vote on proposed airport land swap," June 6) Tuesday night and was very impressed by the overwhelming support for the existing Coastal Trail and Point Woronzof Park.

I am a regular user of the trail and feel it is an important community asset that should be preserved, not traded away. I urge the Assembly to listen to the public and do the right thing and not trade away this beautiful park and trail!
