JUNEAU -- Drilling will begin this weekend to continue exploration of gold prospects at a glacier in Southeast Alaska.
KINY reports Grande Portage Resources Ltd. will start drilling Saturday at Herbert Glacier near Juneau.
The Canadian company will use a two-rig drill process, consisting of nearly 4,000 feet of in-fill drilling. The holes will be spaced about 82 feet apart. Up to 70 holes are expected to be drilled.
