Want to fascinate people using just your lips? Award-winning master storyteller Will Hornyak will conduct a "highly experimental" workshop from noon to 3 p.m. on Saturday covering skills and practical tips for aspiring tellers of tales -- and, yes, it does take more than just your lips. At 7 p.m. Friday, Hornyak will present "Walking Finn Mac Cool: Tales of Ireland's Greatest Poet Warrior." Both events take place at Anchorage Community Theatre, 1177 E. 72nd. Cost for the workshop is $20. Call 868-4913 for information and to register. Check out Hornyak's website, willhornyak.com

Three on a spree

The last time the Blue Rose Trio performed in Anchorage we were mightily impressed with their musicianship. Slightly re-staffed, they present a recital at 8 p.m. Wednesday featuring Beethoven, Villa-Lobos and tango nuevo king Astor Piazzolla. Pianist Rose Chen and cellist Lars Hoefs are joined by Anchorage clarinetist Karl Pasch at Anchorage Lutheran Church, 1420 N St. Admission is free, but donations are accepted.

Lewdster on the loose

Every husband is out of town, leaving one lusty man behind. What do you think will happen? The Metropolitan Opera's production of Rossini's French comedy "Le Comte Ory" impressed critics with it's bawdy humor, tight staging and brilliant singing. The show, filmed during live performance, stars tenor Juan Diego Florez and will be encored at Century and Regal theaters at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
