Samaritan's Purse, an evangelical humanitarian organization based in North Carolina, dedicated a lodge that they've refurbished in Port Alsworth on Lake Clark on Thursday, June 22, 2012. The lodge, now called Samaritan Lodge Alaska, will serve as a retreat facility for wounded members of the military and their spouses. The weeklong retreat for veterans will include recreation and marriage enrichment activities.
