JUNEAU -- U.S. Sen. Mark Begich will be in Alaska next week during the Senate recess.

His office says his schedule includes a fishery roundtable discussion on Monday in Bethel, about the situation along the Yukon and Kuskokwim rivers. He also plans to hold a community meeting that day Quinhagak.

During the week, Begich also is scheduled to deliver a speech to the Fairbanks Chamber of Commerce, participate in a July Fourth parade in Anchorage and tour the Port of Seward.
