Dimond 12, Fairbanks 5 in legion baseball

Sagan Osborne ripped four hits, drove in four runs and scored three Saturday to help Dimond Post 21 grab a 12-5 American Legion baseball victory over Fairbanks at Chad Bax Field.

Dylan Lauwers pitched a complete game and struck out 10. Tony Bost furnished two hits, including a triple, and drove in three runs. Sean Bradley had two hits, scored a run and drove on in. And Peyton Lauwers had two hits and scored twice.

Cameron Hendricks and Scooter Bynum each generated two hits and scored a run for Fairbanks.

South 5, East 4

Bryan Baker scored from third base on a seventh-inning wild pitch Saturday, when South Post 4 racked a 5-4 American Legion baseball win over East Post 34 at Taylar Young Field.

Mike MacDonald doubled and scored a run for South. Luke Schnellenbacher furnished East with two runs and an RBI single.

South 8, Wasilla 3

Josh Crapps threw a complete-game three-hitter and struck out nine Friday night to spearhead South Post 4's 8-3 win over the Alaska Road Warriors Post 35 of Wasilla.

Andy Schafer and Scott Hodgson each delivered two hits for South, and Schafer scored twice.
