Anchorage police have released the name of the man killed in a three-car accident Sunday in South Anchorage. They identified the victim as 70-year-old Isaac Juneby of Eagle.
Police say witnesses reported Juneby was driving a sedan southbound on Lake Otis Parkway late Sunday evening and apparently drove through a red light at the intersection with O'Malley Road. His car was then T-boned by a large SUV, and the two cars went into the eastbound lanes of O'Malley and hit another vehicle.
Officials say Juneby was trapped inside the sedan and had to be extricated. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
The drivers of the other two vehicles took themselves to hospitals.
