Eagle River Post 8's Greg Long drove in the winning run Monday with a two-out, walk-off single in the bottom of the seventh inning to give the Wolves a 6-5 win over Chugiak Post 33 in an American Legion baseball game at Loretta French Field.
David Fuller, who drove in a run and scored twice for the Wolves, pitched a complete game for the win. Chris Parker added a two-run double for Eagle River.
Justin Schneider led Chugiak with two hits and Conner Cimmiyotti fueled a late rally with a two-run double for the Mustangs.
Dimond 7, South 2
Sagan Osborne's three-hit performance included a home run Sunday at Taylar Young Field, helping Dimond Post 21 roll to a 7-2 win over South Post 4 in an American Legion baseball game.
Osborne, who drove in three runs, also pitched five innings to earn a win, with Payton Lauwers pitching two scoreless innings to pick up a save. Lauwers added two hits and a run for the Lynx, and Austin Brown provided two hits and two RBI.
South starter Bryan Baker pitched five innings and added a pair of hits. Andrew Martin drove in two for the Wolverines, with Matt Ilalio adding a hit and a run.
Chugiak 31, West 2
Deven Ferris went 5 for 5 Sunday, as Chugiak Post 33 erupted for a 31-2 victory over West Post 1 in an American Legion baseball game at Oberg Field.
Conner Cimiyotti and Justin Schneider each notched triples for the Mustangs, and West's Dalton Ganter-Chapman recorded a fourth-inning triple.
Dimond 13, Eagle River 3
Dimond Post 21's Sean Bradley earned his first American Legion win Tuesday at Loretta French Field, striking out six and scattering five hits over eight innings in a 13-3 win over Eagle River Post 8.
Dylan Lauwers propelled the Dimond offense with four hits and four RBIs. Toni Bost also drilled four hits for the Lynx, including two doubles to go with two RBIs and three runs. Austin Brown chipped in two hits and three runs.
Ricky Ayala's triple highlighted Eagle River hitting, with Kyle Frost adding a double. David Fuller and Wes Rennice each recorded a hit and a run.
