Update: Nathan Turpin was found unharmed at about 2:20 Wednesday afternoon at a friend's house on Scottie Court in the Oceanview neighborhood of South Anchorage, according to the Anchorage Police Department.

Police are looking for an 11-year-old South Anchorage boy who has been missing since Tuesday morning.
Nathan Turpin was last seen playing outside his home on the 2000 block of Steeple Drive at about 10 a.m., said Anchorage police spokeswoman Anita Shell. Steeple Drive is just off Brayton Drive in South Anchorage, south of Huffman Road..
Police spokesman Lt. Dave Parker said a friend received a text message from Turpin's phone at about 5 p.m. Tuesday.
Turpin is described by police as 5-foot-tall Native who weighs about 100 pounds. He has black hair and brown eyes and was last seen wearing blue jeans, a dark hooded sweatshirt and white sneakers with green and blue details.
No Amber Alert has been issued. Amber Alerts are issued only when there is clear evidence of an abduction, Parker said.
"There's no such evidence here," he said.
