JUNEAU -- Sen. Lisa Murkowski has a new Southeast Alaska representative.
Murkowski's office says Sonia Henrick will work from the senator's Ketchikan field office. Henrick, who is from Ketchikan, will start in the position Monday. She replaces Sherrie Slick, who is retiring.
Henrick most recently served as deputy legislative director to Gov. Sean Parnell, a position she held since 2010. Before that, she was as an aide in the state Legislature.
Murkowski cited Henrick's background in southeast Alaska and her broad experience working on issues of statewide interest.
