JUNEAU -- The governor and first lady will host a celebration of the 100th anniversary of the Alaska Governor's Mansion on Thursday.

The celebration will be 4 to 6:30 p.m. on the north lawn of the mansion in Juneau. Guided tours of the building's first level also will be given. The celebration is for all ages.

The governor's office says all former governors and their families have been invited.

Expected to speak are former Gov. Bill Sheffield and former state Sen. Clark Gruening, whose grandfather, Ernest Gruening, was governor before statehood, from 1939 to 1953.
