It's not rare for anchors like the one on Discoverer to drag

Published: July 20, 2012

It would be comical if not so sad to read online posters at adn.com. The exploratory drilling ship Noble Discoverer dragged an anchor at Dutch Harbor. It was a traditional anchor those posters might see every day when they watch "SpongeBob SquarePants."

Simple anchors drift whether you are in a tide change off Anchor Point or in high wind at Dutch Harbor. Don't worry, Lancaster York and fellow posters, Squidly won't be dropping the anchor over the side in the Chukchi Sea. New Zealand Maritime reported Shell did everything right in 36-foot seas while drilling there. It will be all right. You made it out of the womb and you will get through this too.
