JUNEAU -- Alaska State Troopers say an inmate at the Lemon Creek Correctional Center punched another inmate several times in the face.

Troopers say charges against 20-year-old Devin Clements of Juneau in connection with the Friday assault have been forwarded to the District Attorney's office.

KINY says the victim was taken Bartlett Regional Hospital, where he was treated for face lacerations.

Troopers say the assault took place in the dining area.
