Hodkinson rules orienteering meet

ORIENTEERING -- David Hodkinson of the United Kingdom won on the demanding red course Wednesday night in the Arctic Orienteering Club's Mirror Lake-O meet.

Hodkinson covered the 6.4-kilometer course, which featured 17 control stations, in 52 minutes, 44 seconds, to beat Cory Smith by more than two minutes. Ellyn Brown was the fastest racer on the green course, covering 5.1-K and 12 controls in 55:54.
