Alaska outdoorsman and adventurer Dick Griffith will sign copies of his biography at several Anchorage area locations over the next few weeks, including Sunday at the Eagle River Nature Center.

The book, "Canyons and Ice: The Wilderness Travels of Dick Griffith" (Ember Press, $24.95) is written by Kaylene Johnson of Eagle River, best known as Sarah Palin's collaborator in the former governor's biography, "Sarah: How a Hockey Mom Turned the Political Establishment Upside Down."

Johnson will join Griffith at Sunday's event.

The signings are scheduled for:

• 2 p.m. Sunday, Eagle River Nature Center (the event is free, but parking is $5 for those who are not members of the nature center).

• 5 p.m. Friday, Aug. 3, at G Street Fox, 420 G St.

• 7 p.m. Monday, Aug. 13, Anchorage Museum, 625 C St.
