Canadian leads in Valdez Silver Salmon Derby

Two monster silver salmon were caught in the Valdez Silver Salmon Derby on Wednesday, and Diana Doodehenko of Canada's 17.88-pound fish was good enough to take the overall lead.

Nicole Shutz of Woodbury, Minn., reeled in a 15.52-pounder to occupy second place. The Silver Derby continues through Sept. 2.
