Anchorage police Friday identified the man who died Thursday when his pickup rolled in Eagle River as James Finn.
Finn, 60, was driving on Hiland Road in a white Ford Ranger when the pickup flipped and landed in the middle of the roadway. Police are still investigating.
Finn was a biologist for the U.S. Geological Survey's Alaska Science Center, according to the USGS. He leaves behind many family members who live on the East Coast, his niece said.
