Give PSU students a break

July 28, 2012

There is a lot of talk about how Penn State should be banned from playing football for however many years in response to the terrible events around Sandusky. While I appreciate the reasoning, and even agreed at first, what we seem to be forgetting are the other students. It appears that all those involved with Sandusky's gross offenses have been removed from the university. I don't think it is absolutely necessary to punish the students further, students who have already dealt with the abusive behavior of their coach. I understand the fiscal benefits of allowing the school to play, but those no longer connected with the school will not benefit. Give the students a chance to finish their college careers with some positive memories and dignity.
