Fairbanks man sentenced for road rage stabbing death

FAIRBANKS -- A 45-year-old man has been sentenced for stabbing a man to death in a road rage case.

The Fairbanks Daily News-Miner says Michael Bostick was sentenced to 3 1/2 years in jail for stabbing 55-year-old Tim Lund.

Lund was killed outside Frontier Outfitters in the spring of 2011.

Bostick was acquitted of first-degree murder last December. However, the jury was unable to reach a decision on whether Bostick acted in self-defense.

Bostick was scheduled to go to trial again on a charge of second-degree murder, but a plea agreement was reached in July. Bostick then entered a guilty plea to the lesser charge of manslaughter.

The fight began because of a driving dispute between the two men, who did not know each other.
