The executive director of the Anchorage Fur Rendezvous has a bigger party to organize.

Anchorage Mayor Dan Sullivan has hired Susan Duck to organize events for Anchorage's centennial.

The centennial will be celebrated in 2015, but events may begin earlier than that.

Duck was the executive director of the winter carnival from 2006 to 2012 and earlier was the Fur Rendezvous events manager.
