Ian Moore conquered the 6.9-kilometer, 20-control red course to beat Lars Spurkland by more than two minutes Wednesday night and Jen Joliff, the lone woman on the red course, finished fourth overall in the Fossil Creek Orienteering Classic on Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson.
Moore finished in 1 hour, 21 minutes, 50 seconds, to top Spurkland (1:24:03). Joliff clocked 2:09:14.
Roland Eggli, visiting from Switzerland, won the 5.4-K, 15-control green course in 1:56.22, with Ellyn Brown, the women's winner, close behind in 1:58:10.
