I recently shot a black bear in a situation that was clearly self-defense. I had no other choice; my life was in imminent danger.
Yet I felt terrible about it. I anguished for several days on what I could have done differently. Did I act properly, did I overreact, was my behavior in anyway complicit in the outcome?
How dare George Zimmerman state (on Fox News) that he has no regrets regarding the death of a 17-year-old human being. "God's plan?" Fox's Hannity was disgusting, feeding him softballs. It was a sickening love fest. For Zimmerman to have no regrets and in fact to seem quite enamored with himself is really scary.
