Reward for tips on missing Anchorage woman increased

Published: August 7, 2012

Anchorage police say a reward for information leading to the safe recovery of a missing woman has been increased to $27,100.

Valerie Sifsof disappeared July 7. She was last seen at the Granite Creek Campground on the Kenai Peninsula.

Police say searchers have looked for the 43-year-old woman along the road system from Homer to Fairbanks and Valdez and have searched river drainages.

Police say family members plan to search again along rivers because water levels have dropped.

Information on the case is maintained by the family at a website, www.valeriesifsof.com, and the reward is being administered by Victims for Justice.
