JUNEAU -- Sealaska Corp. has a new chief operating officer. Officials with the Juneau-based regional Native corporation say Terry Downes began his new position Monday.

Officials say Downes brings years of experience to his new role after earning doctorate in materials science at St. John's College at the University of Cambridge.
