An Anchorage woman missing since Friday left her sister's home to run errands and never returned, police said.

Letitia Baxter, 63, left her sister's home in the 1000 block of Beech Lane about 1:15 p.m. Friday, saying she was going to walk downtown a few blocks away, police said. But Baxter's boyfriend said she never returned to her residence on the 2300 block of Eagle Street, according to police.

Baxter does not have a history of leaving home without warning and, other than the boyfriend and sister, "has no other friends with whom she associates," police said in a written statement.

Police ask that anyone with information on Baxter's whereabouts call 786-8900.
