Alaska transportation officials are seeking public comment on the proposed 2013 summer ferry schedule.
The Alaska Marine Highway System announced Wednesday it had posted next year's proposed summer season on its website for review.
Ferry officials say it gives communities served by ferries the chance to weigh in and make suggestions for adjustments if significant community events are planned.
The ferry system will accept written comments and will conduct teleconferences for oral comment on Aug. 28.
Southeast communities can comment at a 10 a.m. teleconference that day, and Southwest and Southcentral Alaska communities will get the chance at a 1:30 p.m. hearing.
The Department of Transportation says its 11 ferries serve 35 communities.
