As a longtime sports fan with a particular fondness for Cook Inlet Football Conference games, I am going to miss seeing John Jessen patrol the sidelines for Bartlett this season. While I am a Chugiak Mustangs fan, I always enjoyed watching the Jessen-coached Bartlett teams. Whether winning or losing, having a good game or a bad one, the team always hustled to the line with energy and enthusiasm and played its hardest.
