Published: August 21, 2012

Indonesia's ambassador to the U.S. will be the featured speaker at an Alaska World Affairs Council luncheon in Anchorage.

Dino Patti Djalal is slated to speak Friday on the rise of Asia and how a democratic Indonesia fits in that picture.

The presentation is titled "The Muslim World, Democracy and Capitalism: Can They Coexist?"

The president of the Alaska World Affairs Council says the nonprofit, nonpartisan group is dedicated to bringing quality speakers to Alaska to talk about global issues.
