JUNEAU -- An adviser to U.S. Sen. Lisa Murkowski is joining Gov. Sean Parnell's administration.
Parnell's office says Stefanie Moreland will serve as senior adviser for fisheries, oceans and Arctic policy, effective Sept. 17. Moreland has most recently served as a legislative assistant to Murkowski, focused on those same areas. She had previously worked in the state Department of Fish and Game.
Parnell's office says Moreland earned a bachelor's degree in natural resources and environmental studies from the University of Minnesota and a master's degree in resource and applied economics from the University of Alaska Fairbanks.
