FAIRBANKS -- The identity of a boy killed by a commercial truck while biking by a North Pole gas station has been released.
The Fairbanks Daily News-Miner reports that the boy was 13-year-old James Johnallen Walters.
North Pole police say he was killed Tuesday afternoon in a collision with the commercial truck at the entryway to the gas station. Walters was riding on the sidewalk when he crossed the path of the truck. His body was found beneath the truck.
The truck was an Alyeska Pipeline Service Co. vehicle driven by a Houston Contracting Co. employee. Houston Contracting is a subsidiary of Arctic Slope Regional Corp. Energy Services.
