Three South sophomores accounted for four interceptions Saturday at Anchorage Football Stadium, and the Wolverines earned their first flag football win in a 6-0 Cook Inlet Conference battle with Bartlett.

Brenna Johnson made the most of her second-quarter interception, returning it 25 yards for the game's only touchdown. Julia Carmack hauled in two picks, and Grace Connelly added the fourth pick.

"Our defense was pretty tight," South coach Melanie Sugita said.

South and Bartlett are both 1-2.

West 8, Chugiak 0

A first-quarter touchdown pass from Annie Rush to Michaela Winchester was all West needed to pull off an 8-0 win over Chugiak in a Cook Inlet Conference flag football game at Anchorage Football stadium Saturday night.

Rush completed 8 of 25 pass attempts for 99 yards and ran for 77 yards on 21 carries.

Shiccia Harris-Grant caught four passes for 48 yards, and Anna Sophia Roberts led the West defense with six pulls.
