Heading into Saturday's season-opening meet in Hawaii, both UAA cross-country running teams have been slotted among the top 10 in Division II in the U.S. Track & Field Cross Country Coaches Association preseason rankings.
The Seawolves women are ranked No. 6, which is where they finished at nationals last season. UAA's men are ranked No. 6, likewise where they finished at nationals last year.
UAA's women have been ranked in the top 10 for 33 consecutive weeks and the men have been ranked in the top 15 for 20 straight weeks.
The Seawolves open the season Saturday at the Hawaii Pacific Invitational in Ka'a'awa.
