Wine of the week: Cono Sur Bicycle's 2011 sauvignon blanc

Being budget-minded or just plain cheap, I always have my taste buds on the trail for next killer deal. In my experience, the Cono Sur Bicycle label offers up a great quality-price ratio. Their website is unpretentious, boasting "no family trees, no dusty bottles, just quality wine." And so it is. The 2011 sauvignon blanc is a juicy little mouthful, serving up gooseberry and grapefruit without being too grassy or herbaceous. It's a good cocktail wine, or pair it up with chicken or fish. Costs about $12.
