KODIAK -- The community pool in Kodiak is sporting new stained-glass windows thanks to a state program that funds art projects.
The Kodiak Daily Mirror says artist Elizabeth Meliah and her husband, Keith, installed the windows at the pool on Thursday. The colorful windows are depictions of natural Kodiak scenes and cost $14,000.
The windows were funded by the state's Percent for Art program, which requires that 1 percent of state-funded projects' budgets be used for artwork.
