Gratitude for return of pack and pistol found inside

September 8, 2012

To the persons up on Chicken Ridge who found and then went out of their way to turn in my black daypack, you are heroes. Thank you. It would have been so easy for you to keep those expensive items, especially the pistol, and just throw away the remainder, but you chose to do the right thing.

That, my friends, is the definition of integrity and good character.

To the Alaska State Troopers and staff of Tok, and especially Trooper C., you were exceptional. You answered all my dumb questions. Trooper C., you are a top-notch professional. You went out of your way to contact me, returning calls on your day off and then making special arrangements in order for me to retrieve my items.

The best part was you wouldn't even take a simple plate of brownies as a thank you; it would've been against policy. Once again, doing what is right even when no one is looking. A real class act Trooper C., and AKST.
