Homer XC-runners sweep in Palmer

Homer runners swept the Class 1-2-3A races at the Palmer Invitational cross-county running meet at Palmer High on Saturday, claiming team victories in the girls and boys competition. Grace Christian won the girls Class 4A competition, and West Valley topped the Class 4A boys. Kenai's Allie Ostrander was the fastest among the girls, finishing the 5-kilometer race in 17 minutes, 42.5 seconds to win the Class 4A event. Kodiak's Levi Thomet clocked 15:45.2 to top all the boys and win the Class 4A race.
