Fairbanks police announced two new arrests in the indictment of 11 Alaska and former Alaska residents accused of being associated with a large drug-dealing conspiracy.
The Fairbanks Daily News-Miner reports that Brent Gunnels of North Pole was arrested this week and is being held in federal custody at Fairbanks Correctional Center.
Gunnels is the only defendant not charged with drug dealing and is accused of tampering with evidence at a North Pole home.
Court records show notice of a second arrest Friday but do not specify who it is.
The 10 defendants indicted on a charge of drug conspiracy are accused of moving cocaine, oxycodone and marijuana into and across Alaska.
