News disrespected the memory of those who died on Sept. 11

Published: September 13, 2012

Anchorage Daily News, shame on you for your complacency, your disrespect, your dishonor of the memory of those who lost their lives on 9-11.

I was stunned to see that "Shell halting drilling" and "Zombies" usurped the commemoration of 9-11 on the front page.

Zombies? Seriously?

The ADN seems to have tried to sweep the memory of that day under the proverbial rug.

Not only have you dishonored the memory of those lost on that terrible day, you dishonor our young men and women serving our country, our firefighters, our police officers and emergency responders. So many lives lost.

Quote: "About 3,000 people died in the coordinated hijackings by Islamic terrorists." That's it! The rest of the article was about politicians who won't be making speeches and the fight over funding the memorial at Ground Zero.

The nation's heart was deeply wounded on that day in September.

We must honor the memory of those we lost and continue to lose fighting for our freedom. 9-11-2001, a day that we must never forget! God bless America!
