Nurse aided Palmer man hit by car; now he needs more help

Published: September 14, 2012

Israel Hale's legs were crushed last Sunday when a car smashed into him while he was fixing a broken trailer on Dimond Boulevard. Miraculously, a trauma nurse driving by recognized Israel had only moments to live. She immediately stopped him from bleeding to death. He had both legs later amputated.

Israel is a 25-year-old, newlywed Palmer resident. He has bills and a house halfway built he hoped to complete before winter and a long road to healing ahead.

We set up a fund to help Israel, our friend and brother: "Friends of Israel Hale, Account: 7349099411," Wells Fargo Bank, 3500 C St., Anchorage 99503.

Further information: Email friendsofisraelhale@gmail.com, call 745-DAVE or go to the blog at www.friendsofisraelhale.com. Cards of encouragement may be sent to: 15161 E. Mallow Circle, Palmer 99645.

Thank you to all for your care, prayers and concern for Israel. We thank the Lord who is in control for sparing Israel's life.
