Paratroopers welcomed home from Afghanistan deployment

Larry Greene, as family and friends welcomed home about 230 paratroopers from the 4th Brigade Combat Team (Airborne), 25th Infantry Division to Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson on Monday, Sept. 17, 2012, after completing nearly a year deployment in the eastern provinces of Afghanistan in support of Operation Enduring Freedom. About 500 of the 3,500-Soldier brigade have returned home. The remaining paratroopers will return in a series of main body flights in September to late October.
