Family and friends welcomed home about 230 paratroopers from the 4th Brigade Combat Team (Airborne), 25th Infantry Division to Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson on Monday, Sept. 17, 2012, after completing nearly a year deployment in the eastern provinces of Afghanistan in support of Operation Enduring Freedom. About 500 of the 3,500-Soldier brigade have returned home. The remaining paratroopers will return in a series of main body flights in September to late October.
