The latest scandal in the Boy Scouts would be laughable if it wasn't so tragic for the boys. Laughable because this is the organization that doesn't allow gays to be scout leaders and here they have been covering up pedophiles in their organization for years. While gays and lesbians are often targeted because of their sexuality, statistics overwhelmingly prove that heterosexual men abuse children both male and female. These people do not fit our stereotypes, they hide in plain sight.

Look at the BTK killer, this man was a family man, a leader in his community. Sometimes they are leaders in their church.

What's worse is the cover-up. I can't believe that they didn't report these people to the police. In not doing that, they enabled these individuals to go out and do it again. Like Penn State, there were people who were more concerned about their reputation than the boys that they supposedly care for, and because of that, more boys were molested.

Shame on them. The children deserved better than that.
