Unbeaten Lynx down Wolves in flag football

Vanessa Tufaga and Haley Martin each scored 4-yard touchdown runs Thursday, helping undefeated Dimond earn a 22-6 win over host Eagle River in a Cook Inlet Conference flag football game.

Tufaga gained 74 yards on eight carries and Martin gained 70 yards on 13 carries. Dimond quarterback Tara Thompson completed 8 of 14 passes for 72 yards, hitting Rachel Brady with a 2-yard touchdown pass.

Dimond (10-0), led by Whitney Jackson's seven pulls, built a 15-0 lead, and Eagle River made it 15-6 with a third-quarter touchdown.
