A 20-year-old woman suffered life-threatening injuries when her car collided with a side-dump truck and was pinned underneath the truck Friday morning, police said.
The woman, identified as Jenna Clarke, was taken to a local hospital, and was in critical condition late Friday afternoon, police spokeswoman Marlene Lammers said.
Clarke was driving a 2000 red Ford Focus heading east on Dimond Boulevard when the car hit a large tractor-trailer that was turning west onto Dimond, Lammers said.
The driver of the dump truck was William Gary Kirkhart, 56, Lammers said.
The accident near Noblewood Street was reported at 8:38 a.m. Dimond was closed from Victor Street to Jewel Lake Road for about 2 1/2 hours, Lammers said.
Police are still investigating the collision, she said, and no citations have been issued.
