Police arrested Mark King of Anchorage on Thursday for 11 counts of first-degree sexual assault of a minor.
Bail was set at $500,000, plus the judge required a third-party custodian, police said.
On Wednesday, an 11-year-old girl told her teacher about inappropriate touching from a family member, police spokeswoman Marlene Lammers said. The girl reported the touching after her class watched a video on safety in health class.
Detectives interviewed King and later arrested him.
Because of statements King made, detectives believe he may have had contact with other victims.
Crimes Against Children Unit detective Leonard Torres asks anyone who knows about other interactions with King to call him at 786-8573.
